Enjoy up to a $5,000 sign on bonus (with a two year commitment) and work full time on three-12 hour shifts a week (36 hours/week — primarily NIGHT shift), with rotating holidays and weekends.

Respiratory Therapists, physicians and nurses come together to form efficient, empowered teams. Respiratory Therapists cover the NICU, PICU, ER, transport, burn and other patient care units throughout our hospitals. They also attend high-risk deliveries and are part of the transport team. The ability to float as necessary is expected, as is always being on top of your game. Because catching things quickly is imperative in respiratory care, superior evaluation skills, a calming nature and the ability to clearly explain procedures that can cause anxiety for children and their families are key. With respiratory care as your focus, you’ll find a diverse patient population and settings that require quick thinking. There’s also the delicate nature of the work—tending to preemies that are as small as two pounds.

Schedule:  36 Hours/Week; (3) 12 hour shifts a week; primarily NIGHT shift; Rotating Holidays and Weekends

As Registered Respiratory Therapist I, this position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and directs care for premature, pediatric, and adult patients.

The Really Great Things You’ll Be Doing:

1. Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and directs care for premature, pediatric, and adult patients.

2. Assesses the current status and immediate airway needs of the critically ill neonate, pediatric, or adult patient in the transport, intensive care, and general care environment.

3. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age.

4. Participate in the education of the Hospital staff, patients, and parents.

5. Staff may be temporarily assigned to an area throughout the Hospital enterprise, based on patient needs requiring similar knowledge and skill.

6. Other duties as required.


  • Experience in respiratory care is required; two (2) years is preferred; however, new graduates are considered
  • Experience working with all levels within an organization is required
  • Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Care
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential is required
  • Current Ohio Respiratory Care professional license or able to obtain
  • Current Health Care Provider BLS training
  • NRP, PALS, ACLS, and STABLE certification is required within one (1) year of hire and must be maintained throughout employment
