The Boise location with both a Medical and Surgical ICU is seeking RNs to join their team. Boise’s Medical ICU is a 17 bed unit with a RN/Patient ratio of 1:2. On this unit, you will see all intensive care patients that have not undergone surgery to include, but not limited to: GI Bleed, renal failure, balloon pump, ETOH withdrawal, Drug Overdose, sepsis, COPD, Post Cardiac Arrest. The Surgical ICU is a 16 bed unit with a RN/Patient ratio of 1:2. On this unit you will see post-operative open heart, Thoracotomy, Major Vascular, Neurosurgery along with any post-surgical patient requiring ICU monitory. You may also see preoperative patients with medically managed Stroke/Neurology Patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments
  • Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework
  • Performs therapeutic nursing interventions
  • Manages care of patients

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Nursing Degree (BSN preferred)
  • 1+ year of RN experience, previous ICU experience will be given preference
  • Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
