A 50+ year old well established and growing company is seeking an experienced RN/Director of Nursing to lead their wellness and recovery program, promoting wellness across the spectrum of the human systems of physical, mental, spiritual, and social needs. Skilled nursing Facilities (SNFs)/Special Treatment Programs (STPs) provide for the holistic care of individuals while addressing their physical and emotional needs in a safe and secure setting. Services include skilled nursing care for clients requiring specific monitoring and treatment of acute and chronic medical conditions. Additionally, our medical team promotes physical wellness with standardized evidence-based health screenings. Nurse-lead groups educate and reinforce positive lifestyle changes.
As RN/Director of Nursing, this role directs and coordinates all aspects of nursing, including, but not limited to, infection control, pharmacy, laboratory, quality assurance, medical records, and staff education. The Director of Nursing ensures compliance with established policies and procedures of the overall program and timely completion of respective reporting requirements. The Director of Nursing is also responsible for the maintenance of quality improvement activities in compliance with current licensing and accrediting policies and regulations. In addition, the Director of Nursing supports all disciplines in the development of a marketing strategy and efforts to network with existing and potential referral sources.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current licensure in the State of California as a registered nurse
- Must have at least two (2) years of experience in an inpatient field
- CPR and first aid certified
- DNS will meet all applicable regulatory standards
- Desire to work with residents with cognitive and behavioral challenges
