This 400+ bed multi-specialty hospital located in San Joaquin Valley is home to a verified level 2 trauma center, cardiology, TAVR and open heart surgery program, high risk obstetrics and a level 3 NICU, neurosurgery including spine specialties and deep brain stimulation services, interventional bi-plane radiology, oncology, a behavioral health campus and the region’s first DaVinci Robotic Surgical system. Seeking an experienced Director of Infection Prevention to join their team and be responsible for the facility’s activities aimed at preventing healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). Requires broad knowledge of clinical and administrative requirements and accreditation/licensure standards. Coordinates classification and reporting of all patient, employee, and significant community acquired infections identified at the Medical Center. Actively participates in Infection Prevention Program and is responsible for the Infection Control Module data entry and follow-up reports to NHSN.
WHAT LANDS YOU THIS ROLE:
- Current California RN License
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
- Master’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health or Epidemiology or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent experience in Infection Control in a hospital setting required
- Five (5) years’ experience in the above preferred
- Leadership experience as Assistant Director or above is required
- Must have acute care experience in a large hospital
- Certification in Infection Control is required
- Knowledge of OSHA, APIC, Title 22, JCAHO, NHSN and CDC regulations and guidelines
- Efficient in the following computer applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
