This acute care hospital with 180+ hospital beds is a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and a Magnet designated hospital providing exceptional care to children throughout the Greater Philadelphia area and surrounding counties. In addition to its main location in Philadelphia, the hospital has a growing network of primary and specialty care locations throughout the Philadelphia suburbs and New Jersey so your child’s health conditions can be treated close to home.

The Manager of Infection Prevention directs and coordinates the infection control program in the hospital. The Manager oversees and is responsible for surveillance, rounding, analyzing, interpreting and the reporting of healthcare associated infections. Supports the development of evidence-based organizational infection prevention policies/standards that meet state, federal, regulatory and accrediting agencies standards. The Manager trains healthcare members in infection prevention, is a leader in infection prevention and serves as a resource, educator, researcher and proponent of change in order to influence infection prevention improvement to provide quality health care within the organization. The Manager will be given the authority to implement and enforce the Surveillance, Prevention and Control Program policies, coordinate all infection prevention and control within the hospital and facilitate ongoing monitoring of the effectiveness of prevention and/or control activities and interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4 year Bachelor’s degree or combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ to 5 years of relevant experience
  • ASCP certification or PA RN license or another clinical license or certificate in lieu of an RN license or ASCP certification
