Chief Operating Officer – Hospice

We are assisting a client in their search for a dynamic and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) with proven, verifiable, and stable hospice leadership experience.

This role requires a visionary leader with a proven track record of operational excellence and the ability to drive growth in a complex regional environment. The COO will report directly to the CEO and be a critical member of the executive team, responsible for executing the company’s strategic vision and operational strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s overall objectives and drive growth in the KS/OK region.
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all business processes.
  • Collaborate with senior management to devise strategies to manage resources effectively and achieve organizational goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, suppliers, and government entities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team to ensure operational excellence and achievement of business objectives.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to the region’s operations and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Monitor industry trends and advise on strategic initiatives to maintain competitive advantage.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in hospice senior operational leadership roles, preferably within the KS/OK region.
  • Must live in Tulsa, OK or Wichita, OK or be willing to relocate to either city
  • Strong understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, Marketing, etc.
  • Proven ability to drive operational excellence and lead successful change initiatives
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
